As professionals, we know the importance of providing a non-judgmental, safe space for you to address your concerns and facilitate healing. Our focus is not only on your mental health but your overall wellbeing.
We also understand that every person is different, just as their concerns and will partner with you in your healing.
I am the director of Garnett Counseling, and a licensed professional clinical counselor in California and Illinois, and also an internationally certified substance abuse counselor.
With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. My experiences in counseling and coaching have allowed me to work with a diverse clientele ranging from children and adolescents to adults in the home, community, schools, and behavioral health agencies. I have also successfully worked with clients who were appointed by the courts and social service agencies.
I have fifteen years of experience working with individuals who needed help with emotional regulation, developing coping strategies, struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, alcohol, drug, or behavioral addictions as well as with individuals or couples needing to enhance their communication skills and healthy boundary setting. I also have several years of experience working with veterans.
My therapeutic style is collaborative and engaging as we explore the various ways to find healing and the achievement of your personal goals. I look forward to working with you to take the next step towards living a more fulfilled life!
At Garnett Counseling, you will receive client-centered, non-judgmental care. We believe that each person is unique and our practice is to meet you where you are. Each approach is chosen and applied to compliment and effectively address each of our client’s concerns. Our therapeutic approaches include: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Prologned Exposure (PE), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
